Founded in 2022 by industry leader Craig Corona, Aura is a New York-based custom lighting manufacturer. With decades of experience as founder and CEO of Lukas Lighting (acquired by Flos in 2015) and decorative lighting manufacturer Sirmos Lighting, Craig brings life-long enthusiasm and a career’s worth of expertise to the designers, developers, architects, and artists Aura serves.

Aura’s team has over a century of combined experience creating bespoke lighting that enhances and enlivens their projects. We collaborate closely with our partners from inspiration through installation support, combining deep technical expertise with elegant craftsmanship and a knack for finding creative solutions to any lighting challenge. Our designs illuminate all kinds of spaces all over the world, including commercial, corporate, educational, hospitality and fine art and cultural settings.

Our Team

With over four decades of visionary leadership in the lighting manufacturing industry, Craig Corona possesses an innate gift for crafting innovative solutions across all variety of lighting applications. Throughout his career, he has left an indelible mark on the industry, serving as CEO at Sirmos, founding Lukas Lighting, and spearheading the Custom Lighting Division at Flos, USA. A true luminary, Corona brings a personal touch to every project he takes on, meeting the needs of his customers big and small. Forty years in, and he continues to light up the work of illumination.

Joe Ditta, a seasoned professional in the field of accounting and financial management, brings 23 years of dedicated experience to the lighting industry. A graduate of the MBA Finance program at Adelphi University, Ditta is committed to success, ensuring that financial operations runs smoothly from top to bottom. When Ditta is on the project, the numbers always add up.

Angela Rendon brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to the lighting industry. Starting out as an artist painter for residential interiors, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, and a Masters in Illustration from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. Her 23 years of experience in the lighting industry has brought her an intimate knowledge of the entire manufacturing process, enabling her to maintain creative integrity and personal vision throughout every step of production. Outside of work, Rendon finds opportunities for artistic and personal growth in yoga, travel, music and the healing arts.

Dongjo Park is a seasoned veteran in the lighting industry, boasting 21 years of experience in designing and engineering thoughtful lighting solutions. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering from Hongik University, Korea, and a Masters of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, New York, he seamlessly blends technical expertise with artistic innovation, consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence and collaboration.

Jonathan Wetjen is a seasoned senior design engineer with 18 years of experience in high-end custom products and machinery, including a decade of dedicated experience in the lighting industry. Having made significant contributions at several esteemed lighting companies, he now brings a wealth of innovative technical know-how to Aura Custom Lighting. When not immersed in his work, Wetjen is a dedicated parent to his 2 year-old daughter.

Mario Alvarez is an accomplished Plant Manager with a 28-year track record of efficiency and organization in the custom lighting industry. With deep business administration experience, the native Ecuadorian’s keen sense of logistics has been instrumental to maintaining seamless operations and operational excellence.

Vehbi Kara is a true maestro in the world of fabrication. He has dedicated 27 years to honing his craft at such shops as Louis Baldinger & Sons, Inc., Cooper Lighting, Lukas Lighting, and Flos, USA. With a sharp eye for detail, he has forged a brilliant legacy in the lighting field, earning himself a reputation for top notch craftsmanship and care.
